You Know The Ones

Kelly, you know those slipper/shoes you bought me that smell like an old wet rag when I take them off.. and you know how you make a puke face and ask me to go wash my feet in the tub? Well, I walked all over Atlanta in them today. I wanted to wear my normal smelling shoes, but you were asleep and I didn't want to go in the bedroom again to disturb you.
So, I just sat down in a full computer lab at school to read some e-mail and work on that paper. I sorta' slipped them off halfway without thinking about it. I smelled the horrible BO, but I thought it was coming from somebody next to me! You can imagine how relieved I was when both of the people got up and walked away. It took me only seconds to realize that the smell was still around. I plugged up the raunch as fast as I could. However, it seems that these shoes have reached a whole new threshold.. the new development is that I can still smell them with my feet inside! I thought writing a blog about it would make me feel better, but I'm still not looking forward to my last class.

Hate Cats Like Stephen? Apply Here.

Once upon a time Kelly and I married and moved away from our friends. We are crazy in love and enjoy every minute together. However, a man can start to lose the hair on his chest when there are no other men around. When a football game comes on.. there's just nothing like having somebody next to you that knows all the rules and watches the game for more than commercials. I miss downing dew, eating pizzas like potato chips, and playing video games for hours with a few guys.
Well, I've bonded with my dog. Yeah, it's a girl and she's half poodle, but she scratches herself in inappropriate places like Kai. She has a beard and hair on her back like Darrell. She hates cats like Stephen. She reminds me of Eric and Josh when she puts on her jersey and watches the games. My glass isn't 90% empty.. it's 10% full.. sigh

Anyone Want a Placenta??

As most of you know...I work in the NICU (Neonatal ICU). We see some pretty crazy stuff. I thought this story was especially wierd.

The NICU has to go on some of the high risk deliveries, in case something goes wrong. A few days ago there was an Oriental couple having a baby, and the grandmother was in there. After the baby was born, the grandmother...who didn't speak English...wanted to keep the placenta. The doctor asked what she was going to do with it and the mother said, "Eat it!" Gross...Gross...Gross! Unfortunately, the mom had a high fever so the grandmother couldn't take it because it was probably infected. Talk about a different kind of stew! Yuck!!
