Casey Turns 31!
This has been a been a weekend of parties. On Saturday...my mom, sister, sister-in-law, and me gave my cousin a baby shower. This is her 1st baby and Jackson will be here in November!! Then Saturday night we had a combo birthday party for Casey and Amy (sister-in-law). I made their birthday cake....a Boston Creme Pie...Casey's fav. His actual birthday is today....because he had class tonight we had a late dinner with grilled snapper and shrimp, roasted potatoes, caesar salad, and topped it off with a birthday cupcake! He got some really good presents too. My parents gave him Madden 08 for XBOX AND an autographed football from Joe Theisman with a picture of him and my mom....she saw him at a work conference. It's in a glass case and we'll find somewhere to display it. He also got a table saw that I gave him back in June that he wanted. Here are some pics from the weekend!

Orlando
Hey guys!! We just got back from Orlando last night. We spent the week with Kai and Lisa. It was packed with some theme park adventures to Universal Studios and Sea World which are both a must do! Overall I think The Mummy ride was the favorite of the group. Mom and Dad Colson gave us their condo to use which was such a great gift. We played some putt-putt that had the most creative scenery around. It was a Winter-themed course full of Santa Clause, elves, and continuous playing Christmas music. We went to Downtown Disney a couple of nights to hang out, eat dinner and Ghirardelli ice cream, and visit a bath store. Kai and Lisa introduced us to The Basin, a store stocked full of bath salts, bath bombs, soaps, and so much more. Kai showed Casey how to salt scrub his hands...which happens to be his new love. We even made a music video while we were down there.....that's right....a music video. It's premiere will be coming soon to a computer near you. It was a great and relaxing trip that of course went by WAY too fast. Hope you enjoy the pics. There's A LOT of them so put your feet up and relax!

I thought this was so amazing. It's so cool how they can train these animals to do this!! Anyone want to ride a killer whale??

Mr. Potato Head's gone mad!!! I wonder if it has anything to do with me picking his nose! Hmm!

Casey, Lisa, AND me all got our golf balls stuck under the Christmas presents. Hmmm.....it's amazing how Casey didn't get HIS picture in this position! Kai won the putt-putt game with some amazing hole in ones!
Playing Shuffleboard at the resort. Don't laugh....it's actually really fun!

Having some Green Eggs and Ham! Yummy!!
This picture reminds us of one of the funniest AND most uncomfortable stories of our trip. We were waiting in line FOREVER for the Dudley Doo-right Water ride and the father and son behind us kept getting a little too close for comfort. For an hour and a half straight they were all up on us....especially Casey. He IS pretty cute!
Playing a little Simpsons Clue!! Casey won!
Taking some romantic pictures along the lake at Downtown Disney.
Kai teaching Casey how to make his hands oh so smooth! Hee...Hee!
To Casey's surprise....he LOVED it and came back for more the next day!
Who would have thought!?!
Mr. Potato Head's gone mad!!! I wonder if it has anything to do with me picking his nose! Hmm!
Eating some YUMMY dinner at the Rainforest Cafe!
Can you find the things that don't belong??
It was lightning like crazy and Casey wanted to catch it in action! Can you see it?? We missed the bolt but the pink sky in the background is actually lightning.

The Grocery Game
Listen up ladies!! My sister discovered something I wanted to share with ya'll. The Grocery Game can save you LOTS of moola!! If you like saving money, getting GREAT deals, and grocery shopping like I do this game is for you! OK all you have to do is this:
1. Sign up and pay a small fee (which is WELL worth it)
2. Buy a Sunday paper or 2
3. Cut out all the coupons you want....it doesn't take long
4. Print a list (premade for you telling you the best deals you can get with your coupons)
5.Go shopping!
6. Save hundreds of dollars a month......thousands of dollars a year!!
Now I just started, but I'm so excited about all the money we're going to save. My sister, Ginger, has been playing the game a little over a month and she's already saved a couple hundred dollars!! WOW! That got me hooked. How it works is....The Grocery Game has a database that puts all the coupons and sales from grocery stores into it and prints a list that gives you the best deals. Ginger has bought several tubes of toothepaste for 13 cents!!! I bought pudding packs (I know, but I love pudding!) for 8 cents that were reguarly $1 You have to hold on to some of the coupons for a whilte so you can get the best deals. To begin you have to make a stockpile....piling up when the stuff is CHEAP!!! and only buying items that you need then if you can't wait until their cheaper. There are 3 different colored items on the list: Black-items to buy ONLY if you need them that week, Blue- items to buy at their cheapest to build your stockpile, and Green- items that are FREE.....that's right I said FREE!!! The list tells you what coupons to use from which coupon booklet in the newspaper and then you sign up for the store savers like Kroger Plus Card, Ingles Advantage, etc. Now you can add as many stores as you want that are in you area. I'm doing Publix, Kroger, Ingles, Walgreens, and CVS. I pay $30 every 8 weeks to have a variety so I can find the best deals of groceries. I tried to copy a list for you but the website won't let me. Go to www.thegrocerygame.com to see the lists. But I could copy peoples comments from the message boards....this really sold me!

Now I thankfully have a stockpile of food that consists of pretty much only foods we would normally eat. It's hard to embrace the fact that you don't have to shop so much because it's so fun to get a "good deal!"
