My little guy turned 2 months old on Saturday. It's hard to believe it. He's already growing too fast. Taking care of two babies definitely makes the days go very quickly. I just try and enjoy each funny, loving, crazy moment with them. As I did with Molly...I'm taking pictures each month in the same chair to watch them grow.

And to show you how BIG of a difference they are. Here's Molly at 1 Month Old and Lincoln at 1 Month Old.

She was so TINY!! She weighed 8lbs 5oz!

He weighed 10 lb 13 oz!! Chunky Monkey!

The Overdue Addition...

Well this is definitely LONG overdue. We've had our sweet addition for 3 1/2 weeks now. How is it possible he will be 1 month old in a matter of days! He is such a precious blessing. He is so cuddly and loves to be held. He's got the temper of a typical red head! That should be fun in 2 years! Ha. He is a GREAT eater and gained 18 oz in a week at his 2 week appointment..weighung 8-10! As I sit here in a quiet house with a sleeping newborn while Casey is Christmas shopping with Molly...I remember how easy life with ONE baby was. Even though I thought at the time I was going insane! Life with 2 babies is not as hard as I had anticipated. Don't get me wrong..when I'm by myself it is definitely trying at times. The hardest part so far is figuring out how to be in two places at once. When they both need something...it's inevitable one of them will end up crying, which breaks a Momma's heart to not be able to give them undivided attention. It's a learning process and we are absolutely learning as we go. Molly is the sweetest big sister I know. She doesn't have one ounce of jealousy...Praise the Lord. She rubs his head, kisses his face, and even says "It's ok "Incoln" I coming buddy!" when he's crying. I guess she must hear that a lot! LOL! Hearing her say his name is so funny as she can't pronounce her Ls. I think they will have lots of fun together in the years to come.

On to more info: A brief birth story of how our little Lincoln came into the world. I'll make it short without gory details, but I do love reading everyone elses birth stories. So I thought I'd share mine.

As much as I wanted to go into labor on my own like Molly...this little boy was stubborn and wanted to hang on to Momma forever! As tempting as the doctor made it sound to be induced a week early, we decided to try and do it on my own and if he wasn't here by my due date November 27th then the safest thing to do was induce on the 28th. My doctor was on call. So instead of my water breaking at home and driving into the hospital in labor...I woke up insanely early and calmly headed to the hospital. They started only a small amount of Pitocin about 8:30 A.M. Thank goodness I didn't need very much. Dr. Gumer broke my water soon after that...which was none too pleasant. After an hour and a half of quick and painful contractions my epidural was on the way. As much as it HURTS to have one placed...the blessings of sweet relief make it totally worth it. Another hour and a half of feeling crazy pressure (you know where!) and we were pushing our big red headed boy into the world. 3 pushes and my beautiful son was here! The pregnancies are not too fun (besides feeling them move and watching your belly grow), but the labor and delivery I honestly enjoy...call me crazy! With only 4 hours of labor, we were holding our boy!

He was named after his Grandad Colson, Larry Olan Colson. Now both our children have their Grandads' middle names. I think it's so special. Molly Lee and Lincoln Olan.

39 Weeks and Waiting...

This (most likely final) pregnancy has almost come to an end. It's hard to describe that it's gone both fast and slow at the same time. However...I'm ready for this little boy to stretch and squirm with all the room in the world. Everyday I feel a different twinge or feeling and think "oh today's the day!" Although I'm extremely uncomfortable and moving positions...I'm thankful my pregnancy has been healthy and uneventful. I'm thankful our little boy is healthy and strong and I can't wait to see his beautiful face. God has blessed us with two children and during this Thanksgiving season I'm so thankful for a happy, healthy, growing family. For now I'm just enjoying the last few moments of kicks and squirms, feeling his knees or feet from poke the inside of my belly, spending precious time with Molly, and enjoying all the time and naps I have now!

This cracks me up. I guess she's telling Lincoln he's done!

37 Weeks

We're counting down now! Only 2 weeks to go. I'll be 38 weeks on Sunday and am READY for this baby to come into the world. Even though everything is not in place as I would hope (it's hard to clean, organize, move heavy items, make 3 meals for a certain 2 year old, bath a 2 year old, discipline a 2 year....) You get the picture! It will be much easier to do these things once I can bend and squat and walk like a normal person.

We had our maternity pictures taken recently as well as Molly's 2 year photos. My cousin did a really great job! Here's a sneak peek...

More than Half Way

Well...this pregnancy is flying by! Which is good and bad. Good because I know my discomfort will end in 15 weeks! And then our fella will be here. Bad because that just increases my anxiety about preparing for a baby and the thoughts of raising two children barely 2 years apart. *Deep breath*

I'm feeling rather well this time around. I haven't been nauseous or thrown up in over a month. Praise the Lord! With Molly I was sick almost every day until she graced us with her presence. My sciatic nerve doesn't give me too much trouble until the end of the day or if I do too much...like take care of a 21 month old! I'm just so thankful our little boy is growing healthy and strong..and let me tell you. He's strong! For a little 25 weeker..a little over a pound he has some strong movements. It's odd now that I'm so far along I can compare him to my patients at work. It's wonderful to have an idea what he looks like right now, but also I just thank God that he's staying put and growing until full term...all snug and comfy..painfree.

I haven't taken too many belly pics this time around...as much as I said I would. Here's one at 22 weeks. Man..this belly is growing and stretching! I really don't know HOW it can get any bigger over the next 15 weeks!

Here's some pictures of our little guy. He's pretty laid back and all cozy in there...during the ultrasound he was sound asleep and didn't want to move. The doctor said he is healthy and growing normally

We're so thankful for this wonderful blessing God has given us. We can't wait to meet him and this pregnant Momma is already getting impatient for her comfort level to be back to normal! Hee Hee.

A New Time...

Well...times are a changin'. I've officially had the same blog since 2005! When the new blogger came out I just couldn't change our design. Casey created our faces in photoshop and worked so hard to get it just right. I'm not sure if you even remember what it looked like so.....

Do you see how creative he is! Wow! At least I copied it to have forever. I love our eyes and the outline of Casey's hair. It actually used to have our dog Chloe and her fur right in the middle. Of course that was BM....(Before Molly). He took Chloe out which at the time was just because the baby came along there was no room for all 4 in the picture. Little did we know there was some foreshadowing going on there. Several months later we had to delete (if you will) Chloe from our home due to irreconcilable differences between her and Molly. Molly wanting to play and squeeze and pester the poor dog all day long and Chloe being snooty and snippy and not wanting ANY of the squeezin'. But don't worry folks...all is well and she now lives with my mom. We still see her and Molly jumps up and down every time the dog enters the room and Chloe leaving the room immediately after the first high-pitched squeal. Everyone's happy!

So...now the blog needed a bit of freshening up. And with this new ever changing look, I hope to be a little more consistent with the updates! Ahem...we'll see. :)

Did my oh so faithful readers think I dropped off the face of the earth?? No worries! I'm back in hopes that I will learn consistency. Here's what we've been up to. Molly, of course, is growing WAY too fast. She's running around everywhere. And can now say Mama, Dada, Bye bye (her fav), Moo, baby, and book. She can also sign please, eat, more, milk, and all done....and is so stinkin' cute doing it. It's so helpful to know what she wants and to ease Molly's frustration when she can't tell us. We're weaning her from the bottle...which she is not a big fan of. We're down to just her bedtime bottle...which I just can't give up. She doesn't like drinking milk out of a cup unless she's distracted into it. :) That's the appropriate way right? She's sleeping 12 hours at night and taking two 2-hour naps during the day. Although the past week or so she's not been sleeping during the day much. I guess it's time for 1 nap a day. :( Hopefully it will be a LONG one!

As for Casey...he's living his dream as an art teacher and just got a head coaching position for the Varsity girls soccer team at Fayette County High School...(MY alma mater) Weird huh? He'll call me every now and then and say "hey babe...I'm walking through your cafeteria or I'm going down the hall past your drama room." Crazy! That place brings back so many wonderful memories.

And for moi...well I'm working 3 nights a week doing 12 hour shifts at the hospital. I'm hoping to go part-time weekends soon, which would be only 2 nights a week. I'm chomping at the bit. I'm enjoying 4 days off a week teaching Molly new things, cuddling with her, and working to make our house a better home.

A photoshoot...we had a family photo shoot around Molly's birthday so I could get some pictures of the 3 of us as well as some 4 generations photos. My cousin, Lisa, just opened a photography business so she likes to get practice on even us! I'm giving her a shout out...

We enjoyed the holidays with our families and had such a great time relaxing together.

And most recently...we've been hanging out at the park with Murphy (on the warm days of course), enjoying the snow...even though I got snowed in at the hospital for 3 days, and making Valentine cookies!

The girls weren't really into smiling that day. Hee Hee.

One Year Ago...

If you haven't figured it out yet...I'm big on anniversaries, numbers, and how they intertwine. For instance...how cool would it have been to have THIS birthday (10/10/10 at 10:10)???

We've had a BIG anniversary around here. Our sweet Molly was born one year ago on the 23rd. How fast time flies. I have to remind myself to stop with the busy things in life and enjoy her now while she's still a baby. The dishes can wait for a minute. Sitting her on my lap and watching her learn new things like how to say book, moo like a cow can't and will be missed out on if I distract myself. She truly is such a joy and so happy. The moment she came into this world will be one I will never forget. That dark brown curly hair, the squished up face, her popeye look every time she ate. She ate and slept and snuggled...all 7 lbs 7 oz.

Now...12 months later...she's:

18 lbs 7 oz and 27 3/4 inches long--a little bitty but a loud personality

Walking

Saying: Momma, Da Da, Book, Ba Ba, Baby, Moo, and Ruff Ruff

Sleeping 2 2-hour naps and 12 hours at night

Loves books, singing (pretty well if I may brag a little), her baby, Mickey Mouse, giraffes, and Abby (from Sesame Street), and emptying out EVERTHING she can get her hands on.

Doesn't like to be cuddled-would rather explore the world freely but will sit in your lap if there's a book around (or a computer!)

Loves to eat: CARBS! Waffles and muffins are her fav as well as bananas, sweet potatos, green beans, and spinach.

What a perfect little blessing you are in our lives Molly.

We've been having tons of fun lately. Most of it has been here at home, but playing and relaxing with our little one is the best. Casey and I took Molly to the pumpkin farm near our house with my sister, Ginger and her kids Zack and Murphy. We rode on a hayride, petted a calf, cheered on a pig race, got lost in a corn maze, and picked a pumpkin of course! Molls had the best time.

We're also busy planning her 1st birthday already! How did this little lady grow up so fast??This time last year was a whole wide range of emotions.

Grief, sadness, and shock over my Dad passing away.

Nervousness and anxiety about delivering my first child and the unknowns that come with that.

Relief that Molly was delivered healthy and safe and perfect.

Excitement and joy about becoming a mother and the unconditional loving bond that brings.

This year has been a whirlwind. God has shown me how to trust in Him and give everything I have for His glory. What a comforting, peaceful, merciful, gracious God we serve.

And now a gaze into our lives this past month with our crazy girl.....

Molly and her dog bones! As I was preparing her Halloween costume (can't tell ya yet!) she grabbed these and off she went...just like a pet I used to know!

SOMEBODY'S ready to go skiing!

Little Missy's SO proud of herself....she's starting to walk more and more these days. And I'm sure by her birthday I'll be chasing her everywhere.

One of our favorite things. Reading and feeding is pretty much the only time she'll cuddle with me...that girl's gotta move! So it's nice to have relaxing moments like this.

Yup....learned how to crawl in the dishwasher! I was washing dishes and normally she's laying flat across (a video I MUST post) and finger painting with water but today I looked down and in 2 seconds she went from finger painting to sitting in the dishwasher. Too cute!

This next one is such a precious moment for me. It's amazing how much changes in a year. Molly was in my belly the last time I was here. She was moving all over while I was looking at the flowers on my dad's and grandparents graves and taking pictures (of course) when Molly stopped to look at the flowers. I'm curious if Daddy was talking to her or singing to her. I don't know if it's possible, but I'd like to think sweet, innocent children can hear our angels above.

A Day in the Life...

Things of course have been crazy around here. Casey started teaching this past week and is busy getting art lessons ready. I'm so proud of him....he's worked so hard and sacrificed a lot to get where he is today. God has truly blessed us with a great job for Casey when they are very hard to come by.

And this little one....

Well...the picture speaks for itself. Molly is everywhere!! That girl could not sit still if her life depended on it. She is 9 months old now and loves to crawl and pull up on everything. Her new favorite spot of course....the seat under the end table! She thinks it's her hiding spot and nobody knows where she is. Hee Hee.

She had her first steps on the beach. Little Lady loved the sand and waves crashing over her feet but would always get sooo sleepy hearing the waves. She thinks it's time for bed when she hears that sound.

This just cracks me up. Grammy (Casey's mom) was putting her down for a nap while we were at the beach and could not get her to lay down. She passed out like this! Ha! Talk about flexibility.

We were able to spend the weekend with the Bassett's and she loved playing "jail"!

Miss Molly is such a little jokester. She can make the funniest faces. I can't imagine what kind of craziness she will come up with in the future.

And the girl LOVES books. I'm so thankful that she loves to be read too and will hopefully enjoy this for the rest of her life. We trying to familiarize her with the alphabet so I bought these cute little letter books and you'll can tell from the expression....she LOVES them!

Molly and I were able to hang out with 2 of my very good high school friends a few weeks ago. We recently reconnected over none other than facebook and got together for lunch after 11 years!! We all three had baby girls within the last year. Molls had so much fun playing with Macie and Avery and was actually the big girl for once!

In her spare time between bottles, baby food, books, and naps. She likes to create little mischief. Her other new fav place....the tupperware cabinet!! *Sigh* This actually keeps her occupied while I get a few things done in the kitchen. I think I see a chef in our near future.

Besides sticking her hands in the fireplace and being covered in soot (ahem...a task she completed as I left the room for 5 seconds!) she explores the bookshelves....the refrigerator...the computer (which she doesn't like to hear no)...the dog bowl and crate. She so stinkin' cute...and exhausting!

So I'm...ahem...a LITTLE late with her 6 month pictures. I'm pretending to be a photographer and do my own baby photo shoots to save money. I'm a work in progress. The "taking" of the pictures was the easy part....it's the "editing" that is so time consuming. But I'm SO excited about how they turned out. I can't wait to get some of these up on my walls!

Swimmin' Pools and Sweet Potatoes...

Molly had some first experiences this week. She discovered she LOVES swimming pools! She chillaxed in the cools waters of her pool to get away from the busy days of eating, sleeping, playing, and snuggling.

And we practiced feeding ourself. I gave her a sweet potatoe puff cracker because this girl LOVES sweet taters. She wasn't all about the puff but we'll get there. So cute!

Molly and I went to lunch yesterday with some good friends from my work. There were lots of babies there...it was SO much fun to snuggle with the other babes and let Molly have some playtime. After lunch...my friend, Brooke taught Molly how to shop for sales at the mall while I had a doctor's appointment. When I came home....this is what was waiting for me. A photoshoot!

Baby Dedication, Mama, and Carrots

We had a great Sunday having Molly's baby dedication. It was a great ceremony to promise to teach Molly to follow after God and raise her to know Him and love Him with all her heart. She yawned the whole time....apparently Brother Archie was pret-ty boring. But will be a great memory in our Molly story.

Then Sunday night as I was giving her a bath she was chewing on her lotion bottle and said....yep! "Mama"! It was so sweet. I just love that little sweet voice. I know one day it will be used with attitude or annoyance sometimes but today...there was no greater joy. Daddy is patiently waiting for his name!

As I was making dinner one night...I was chopping up some carrots...and as always...Casey has to taste test or steal before preparation rather! And Molly learned quickly! It felt SO good on those gums!

We have been so busy with Casey's art show ...I haven't had time to sit let alone blog. But...viewers...don't worry! The art show is over, Molly's asleep in her swing beside me, and I'm ready to write! Oh I feel a tangent coming on. Do people blog anymore?? Or have they reverted to plain ole facebook?? I personally get excited when one of my peeps has a new blog post with lots of great pictures and funny stories. I like to share what's going on in our lives but am wondering if it's gone out of style with tight rolled jeans!

Anywho...back to our update. Casey has 2 weeks left of school. Woo hoo! It will be SO nice to have him home for the summer. He's enjoyed teaching so much and truly has a gift. He had an annual art show to display the kids artwork and raise money for the art department. He raised $400 MORE than they did last year! I'm so proud of him!

Molly's doing great! She's almost 7 months old and is keeping me SO busy as all you moms know. Here's some stats:

-Weighed 12lbs 1 oz at her 6 Month checkup (Squirt!) They told me not to worry b/c she is gaining weight but when I'm the one giving her the nutrients and calories it's hard not to.

-Sleeping 11-12 hours straight at night (Praise the Lord!)

-Taking 2-3 naps 45-1 1/2 hours....I sure wish she slept longer but can't complain...she'd rather clump it all in at night!

-Nursing 4-5 times a day with some bottles hear and there

-Sitting up ALL of her little self

-Loves to chase Chloe around the house via walking or flying. She LOVES walking around with our hands. Uh oh! (Early walker?)

-Has eaten lots of veggies and some fruit. LOVES carrots, sweet potatoes, peas...pretty much everything! Will be trying avocado tomorrow! Mmmm!

-Eating 2-3 meals a day

-No words yet but is getting close with the "M's"...is Momma in her near future!?!

-Loves to imitate our sounds or facial expressions

-Jibber Jabbers in her own language...and squeals!! Mercy...she squeals!
And is making us fall in love with her more and more every day if that's possible!

I also had a great 1st Mother's Day. I'll always remember the first one as a Mother. Casey made it so special and gave me a bracelet with her birthstone. Lucky for her she's a girl because her birthstone's pink! We were able to celebrate with both our Moms at the same time. How special! Love you both!

Molly just turned 6 months old and all of a sudden....she's showing me what a big girl she is. We were playing in my bed and I sat her up, let go of her arms and she stayed. I fully expected her to fall back to her pillow. She's really good at it already. My baby girl's growing up.

Best Friends Forever...

Molly gets SO excited when Chloe comes near. But Chloe's a little hesitant and tends to go the opposite way when Molly reaches out. The other day we were playing in bed and of course Molly is leaping out of my arms to touch the furball and Chloe was trying to escape as best she could without jumping down from the soft warm bed. Finally she gave up and let Molly rub her feet all over her belly and then laid down beside Chloe...so cute! I think we have a lifelong friendship creating.

Molly had her first attempt at cereal this morning. It was so funny. She didn't know WHAT to do. I warmed it up and tasted it...it's actually not too bad. I tried my nieces oatmeal last summer and it tasted like glue. Yuck! She got into it towards the end. We'll keep trying and then move on to the good stuff!

5 Months

Another month has gone by! Molly is officially 5 months old as of yesterday! She is loving her excersaucer...spins all the gadgets and spins herself for better views of the world! She is now a roly poly..rolling from both sides...oh dear! With great eye-hand coordination...she can put her paci in her mouth without help....most times! She LOVES bathtime and will snap out of cranky mood instantly. She's sleeping 9-9 1/2 hours wakes up to eat then sleeps 3 more usually...Praise the Lord! She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth....even tries for the dog...but Chloe is NOT having it! Loves peek-a-boo....Loves to smile and laugh....Loves to look at everything and chatter away! We'll be starting some rice cereal in the next week or so...that should be fun and entertaining! Happy 5 Months baby girl!

I'm about halfway through Molly's 3 month photoshoot. I have a couple things I want to shoot her in. It's definitely a learning process to create professional looking pictures for these milestones, but I'm excited about how they're turning out.

I really can't believe it's true...my sweet baby girl is 3 months old now! She is getting so fun...smiling at us ALL the time...trying her hardest to laugh. She thinks I'M hilarious! Ha! And a chatterbox!!! Whoo! I love hearing all the sounds she makes and her expressions are hilarious when she concentrates on hearing her own voice. She loves her hands and can't get them out of her mouth. The other day I came home from work one morning and put her in the pack and play to play and then fall asleep. I put a rattle in there for her to look at and touch...next thing I know she picked it up and carried it ALL the way to her mouth!!! I know....but I'm so impressed....it's the little things! I haven't had a chance to take her 3 month pics yet with working full time and Casey starting a new job and of course...Molls! They will be on here soon though!

It's off to work I go....Now that I have you singing our great Dwarfs. You're welcome! That's right...*sniff*...I went back to work last week. Working three 12 hours nights a week is going to be an adjustment. Goodbye sleep! I'll miss you! Casey's doing great with her...not getting much sleep however but they're having precious Daddy/Daughter time! It was the hardest thing ever! Saying goodbye to my sweet Molly through tears and kisses. I kissed her so much she moved away from me! Ha! I cried most of the way there...but was welcomed with open arms by my sweet coworkers. They kept me laughing and distracted all night. I'm surprised I remembered what to do! And so far work has been a doosy! 28 week triplets, in utero strokes, diaphramatic hernias....after having one of your own...your perspective really changes when you have to take care of sick babies...full term when the parents think everything;s normal going into delivery. What a horrible shock. It's hard and I feel so terrible for them. Some will take home a developmentally challenged baby while others may not get the chance to do that. I just think about how blessed I am. God gave us a beautiful, healthy, perfect little girl which could have easily been different. I've come home every morning and hugged her so tightly thanking God for her.

I got a Nikon D40 last year for my birthday so that I could learn how to take professional pictures and a year later I'm finally learning how. I'm still researching ideas, tricks, and tips professionals use so any ideas would be great!

We had a great 1st Christmas with Molly. It was definitely bittersweet being the 1st without my Dad too and having to adjust to our new normal. We had a great and special time with my family and then headed to Alabama after Christmas to hang out with Casey's family. Now we can relax at home and get back into our routine.

Molly turned 2 months old December 23! She's a big 9 lbs 4 oz. I guess she's just going to be petite! The doctor wasn't concerned so I guess I shouldn't worry. As a mother, you want to make sure your child is getting fed well and seeing how that's my sole responsibility...I want to see her grow grow grow! She's starting to really smile and coo at us. At first she just did this in the morning when she was so happy. Now it's all day long...she even tricks us by crying...then we go in her room and "Smile"! I LOVE when she looks into my eyes and then gives my a big open mouth grin. She wants to talk so bad...I have a feeling we're gonna have a chatterbox on our hands!

My Thanksgiving blog's a little late. I never understood when new parents would say...time flies. I wake up in the morning and the next thing I know...it's 7:00 at night! So...I'll do my best keeping up with pictures. We had 3 Thanksgiving dinners this year. Larry and Linda and Eric came over the week before to celebrate. Then we had a big bash with Kai and Lisa to precede Thanksgiving day with my family. Lots of turkey, dressing, and pumpkin pie. You can never have enough of that!

People can tell you life with a newborn will change your life....make you sleep deprived...or better yet...make you realize how well you can function on so little sleep when you're used to 12 hours....show you true unconditional love...make you protective and self-sacrifice all in just a few weeks. But until you experience life with a newborn you can only go so far with your imagination. When that sweet little girl wraps her entire hand around your finger...when she looks deep into your eyes while you talk to her wanting so badly to know what you're saying...when she smiles even for just a split second even if it IS just gas...it's the best! Amazing!

Life is great! There definitely are times of frustration trying to learn what she wants when those cries block all your thought processes. Overall she's a great baby...God has truly blessed us during this extremely difficult time in my life with such a sweet loving daughter. She reminds me so much of my dad...I love watching her sleep with one arm over her head and mouth turned way down just like him. It makes me smile. He would have loved her so much and I hope he's able to watch her grow up from heaven. The holidays are going to be hard, bittersweet, but having Molly will bring us all so much joy. God is working through us....bringing peace and the comfort of knowing my dad is living it up singing to the top of his lungs again at Jesus' feet. It's SO great to know he's not suffering anymore. That he can breathe effortlessly now...he can run all around the streets of gold...he can sing with all the angels and rejoice in that glorious music.

I've been wanting to write a tribute for a couple weeks...but just wanted to say great words about a great man. David Lee Robertson...for whom Molly Lee got her precious name...lived 63 years. Most of those years serving our great Lord through living by example, ministering as Minister of Music for 25 years, and giving as much as he could to anyone he could. He truly was the most giving man I know....never selfish and so patient. A quiet gentle giant who knew EVERYTHING according to his children. He could tell you how to get to some hole in the wall place without a map...he just knew! He could explain taxes, politics, cooking, any subject you could think of so easily. So smart! He loved to cook...when we were little the 5 of us would sit down at the kitchen table to creation after creation. He loved to can...jelly, pickles, pickled okra, and the salsa! Oh..the salsa! Our family could down a jar of that stuff in one sitting! He had such a sense of humor...He would do this bit pretending to be George Squirrel. He would whistle talk about his love Farrah Squirrel (my mom). Every morning on my way home from work...my dad would call me to tell me our dog Chloe had some message for me. She would want me to stop by Dunkin donuts for a powdered donut or that Sassy (my parents) dog was getting on her nerves. He loved his family....loved us all getting together even when he was so sick from chemo or tired from radiation. He just wanted us to be around even when he didn't feel like talking or playing games. Having us there was enough. I'm so thankful the treatments and surgery made him cancer free..that he didn't go through all that in vain. His body was just so weak and he struggled with his lung capacity for 10 years after his by pass surgery. Pneumonia was an unexpected toll on his body he could not recover from. Even though all that is fresh in our minds...the joy of knowing he's at peace and so happy in heaven makes me smile. I am SO glad we both have Jesus as our Savior..to have the joy and peace I'll see him again when it's my time to go home! We must miss him terribly down here for now!!

Miss Molly was born October 23rd at 10:12 P.M. Once she decided to make her way into the world...she didn't waste any time. Casey and I had just finished grilling hamburgers....after I fixed my plate...my water broke. What a crazy experience. I was so nervous....I didn't want to go to the hospital. Ha! Like I could get out of this now! Little did I know....God truly made labor and delivery so enjoyable and honestly easier than I thought. 9 hours of labor and she was here! We are so blessed to have the little lady here and healthy. She's doing great...eating and sleeping well. Time just gets away from us. Days and nights seem to go faster and faster. We're so glad God has given us such a sweet baby girl to love.

35 and 5 weeks

Yep...as of midnight tonight I will officially be 36 weeks. I can't believe how fast it's gone! This little lady will no longer be in my belly anytime from now up to 4 weeks. It's hard to imagine and much as I try to picture her and how our lives will change....I know my imagination can't begin to comprehend the love I'll have for her and the monumental moment when our family becomes 3!

We took these pictures yesterday when I was 35 and 5 weeks....I meant to take them earlier this week, but it's been one crazy week with my dad in the ICU, working, and attempting to prepare for Molly.

Well...my dad has pneumonia. He's still on the ventilator although they turn it off every morning to see how long he breathes. Yesterday was 10 minutes...he has to breath on his 2 hours before they'll pull the breathing tube. He's on some good antibiotics so hopefully his lungs will clear up soon. They've taken him off sedation so he's actually able to communicate with us and understand us. He can't talk b/c of the breathing tube going through his vocal cords but he spells out words on a laminated sheet. It's nice to see him awake. Here's a couple things ya'll could pray for: that the pneumonia goes away fast and does not create any other problems. Pray he's able to be extubated...come off the vent. I'll keep you posted.

I just wanted to let everyone know my dad was put in ICU today. He's been having trouble breathing for a few weeks and has been put on oxygen and steroids. The oncologist said it was a side effect of his radiation. Apparently 6-8 months after radiation...you can get something called radiation pneumonitis.....like pneumonia without the infection. Well...today he's been having more trouble breathing so my mom took him to the ER. They put him on CPAP...a respiratory support machine that pushes air into his lungs. They think he either has pneumonia or a mucus plug in his lungs. They're going to do a bronchoscopy tomorrow to see if there's a plug. They'll
have to intubate him (put him on the ventilator) for the procedure...so pray he's able to get off easily since he has a low working lung percentage. Pray it's just a mucus plug that can easily be removed and that he can come home soon.

34 Weeks and Counting...

Monday Molly turned 34 weeks! Yay! One more week and she won't have to go to the NICU if she comes early. Woo hoo! 34 weekers are definitely fine for the most part...need some help eating until they have enough energy and are SO cute...about 4 1/2 -5 pounds. But....I'd like Molly to stay in a few more weeks to get those lungs nice and ready!

We've been busy around here trying to get the nursery finished, cleaning and washing clothes and baby items people at work have so generously given us, baby showers, attempting to make her quilt in my spare time, and plus the normal everyday chores. It's really fun imagining the little girl who will be using all this stuff....sooner than we think. I'm feeling pretty good these days....still sick of course although not everyday...Praise the Lord. I get really tired ALL the time and have had to split my 3 12 hour nights up because I'm contracting. Splitting them up has helped a lot and I just try to drink a ton of water. Molly seems to literally be growing EVERY DAY! She is now big enough to kick my ribs and sqiurm all of the place! She's so low that I was hoping to avoid the rib kicking everybody talks about. It's actually not TOO bad just noticeable. It's so amazing to see her and feel her moving all around. The other day I was laying on the couch and all of a sudden one side of my stomach was flat and a HUGE lump was sticking out on the other side. Ha! I love trying to figure which body parts I can feel....her butt, knees, and feet so far I think. I went to the doctor yesterday and she's head down which is great! I had a small placenta previa (where the placenta covers the cervix) but it has moved up...a little...1 1/2 cm. He says that good enough for him so no scheduled c-section. I am preparing myself for either though. I just want her to come to the world healthy and safe. I'd rather not have the longer recovery from surgery, but considering my small frame and her big head (thanks Casey!) she may not make it out. We'll see....I'm definitley gonna try! Her head is measuring a week and a half older....bigger!

34 Weeks

This is at my family shower on Saturday. Grammy and Grandpa Colson and Uncle Eric and Aunt Jennifer came over for the special occasion. I'm so sad we didn't get a mom and Grandmothers picture. My forgetful brain....

This is the blanket I came home from the hospital in. My mom gave me this, my coming home outfit, and several of my baby blankets and outfits. It was so sweet!

Well...it's official...I have a new Mommy hairdo. With these vitamins and pregnancy my hair looked like the girl from Rumpelstilskin! Ha! So...I got it all chopped off...it feels SO good short!

And it's also Casey's 33rd Birthday!! Happy Birthday Sweetheart! We celebrated this weekend with the fam since I have to work tonight. Be sure to give him calls and well wishes!

28 Weeks!!

I turned 28 weeks on Monday so here's some pics of the growing peanut. She's a little bouncing bean....I think she's invites all her friends to have a little party in my belly at times. Actually she really seems laid back and has pretty specific times when she's awake. I hope that continues on the outside!

Hodge Podge

July has been a busy month for us....we went to Pensacola with my family over July 4th. ALL 12 of us! Then destroyed our house with some remodeling projects.....Then went to Tennessee for a family reunion/baby shower and THEN went to the farm (Casey's parents) for a visit and baby shower. Phew!

I know I haven't posted a belly pic in a while so here's a few. I'm 28 weeks now and this pregnancy is FLYING by! I can't believe in 12 weeks we get to hold our baby girl....who yes...STILL doesn't have a name. We're getting very close to a decision though! I'm still getting sick and have just come to the realization that this little drama queen is going to make me puke until 40 weeks! She must like the motion of vomiting or something! :) Casey said he's going to give her a spanking as soon as he sees her~hee hee! Sometimes the Zofran works and sometimes I don't take it in time but it's only temporary....thank the Lord!

Anywho...here's a hodge podge of pictures and more to come! I'll take a 28 week picture today...I'd just rather not do it with frizzy hair and work clothes! The carpet got installed yesterday so we're putting our humpty dumpty house back together again!

We had a leak a our roof a while back that soaked the floor and ruined the drywall in our office, so Casey and his dad (Thank you Larry!!!) replaced half a wall...plus they ripped the carpet out, painted, AND installed crown molding at the ceiling which is BEE-utiful! The Colsons came for a weekend and were insane power workers!! They painted the office/guest room, nursery, and guest bathroom....plus once Linda got started painting she couldn't stop!! Now...our back door, front column and trim, AND a bookshelf for the nursery are beautiful and white!!

Baby Showers

We ended up cooking the dressing, rolls, and the rest of the turkey on the grill! Ha! It actually worked and was so yummy! The lights came back on in the middle of our candlelit dinner.

It really was dark here....I was using my flashlight expertise so they could make sure the dressing was done! Hee.hee!

The Birds and The Bees

We had some excitement in our backyard last night. Chloe discovered a baby bird in the spot where she "does her bizness". She went up to the little bird and stuck her nose right to it's beak. We brought Chloe inside so she wouldn't squeak her new found chew toy and tried to figure out where she came from. We think she fell out of our neighbor's tree. Being emotional these days I was feeling all sorts of mercy for this little baby and didn't want her to starve to death. Casey decided we should go inside and see if it's mother showed up. We saw a gray bird keep flying around and perching on different trees. I sat by our kitchen window for about 30 minutes or so glued to what was going to happen. The mother FINALLY swooped down and I got SO excited and started yelling "Casey Casey it's mother came!!!" And of course off she went! I was forced into silence and couldn't take my eyes off the window. The mom came back a couple of times and was feeding the now VERY loud baby bird then she'd fly off again. I was so glad to somebody was taking care of her. I went to the window about an hours later and she was gone! We hoping the mother somehow helped her back to the nest!

Home Made

Our garden this year is growin out the wazoo! I only planted a little over half the plants I usually do just because I'm not going to feel like weeding, picking, and watering tons of beans and okra when I'm ginormous. We did plants staples though....tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and watermelon!! Mmmm! We've got 7 watermelon cooking which is the most we've EVER had. Casey just picked our 1st this morning....I know what OUR dessert's going to be. Plus a million cucumbers....I can't eat and give these things away fast enough. We went to the beach for 5 days and came back to cucumbers the size of my leg! I've made 2 batches of pickles so far so any other ideas for cucumbers....let me know!

This was Casey being supportive during my pickle making. He LOVES the smell of vinegar! Thankfully...I'm all about vinegar these days!

I can't believe it's finally here! I was planning to post a video of the whole ultrasound, but they wouldn't let us....stupid malpractice! But pictures are just as good. We are SO excited....we were nervous all day. I didn't care either way, but I just wanted to KNOW! When I've been scanning the baby at work and this little one was so bashful...folding it's legs and bending it's knees. But today peanut knew it were time to shine! And that he/she did! So.....

I can't wait to see this little one...it's been 4 weeks since I've scanned myself at work and A LOT longer for Casey..poor thing. We'll be sharing good news tomorrow so tune back in. Casey thinks we having a boy....I'm leaning towards a girl but not 100% convinced. Ok....give me your guesses!

Movin Along...

I wanted to post some belly pics. This little one is growing like a weed. I'll be 18 weeks on Monday. Woo hoo! I can't believe how fast it's going. I started feeling some little flutters last week when I lay down. It's so cool to know that's our little peanut moving around. I still nauseous every day and still throwing up every now and then despite the Zofran. *Sigh* It surely must end soon...I was hoping for 12 weeks but now it's 6 weeks later. Ginger snaps have become my very best friend.

Since I work in the NICU we have an echo machine for cardiac consults on the babies, so I've been able to do ultrasounds on myself a couple times. It's nice to make sure everything's going well...see the heartbeat and peanut moving around (A LOT!). We've tried to see a boy or girl but this little baby is bashful. Must be a girl! We go June 9th for our real ultrasound to find out!!

We had a great Easter and got to spend time with my family. Sadly, there were NO Easter egg hunts in the Robertson household this year. Our nieces and nephews opted for money instead of candy....how sad is that??? Here are a few pics from last Sunday. Along with my belly bump!

Happiness and cheer...oh sorry wrong holiday. Now that everyone has The Peanuts song in there head...I'm so excited about the weather getting warmer. The days staying longer. The flowers and grass blooming. We planted some flowers this fall thanks to Casey's mom Linda and they have come full bloom with color and fragrance. Hopefully they'll come back next year just as beautiful. I'm also planning to have another garden this summer full of tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, and watermelon! Mmmm! I'm trying to learn how to get the soil just right and turn my thumb nice and green!

Peanut's growing nicely and making me feel oh so preggers. Thank the Lord for Zofran is all I can say. I've had several weeks now of nausea and the occasional puking in la toilet....especially after or during brushing my teeth. It kind of defeats the purpose. I've been told to give up and just chew gum for a few weeks. I'm 11 1/2 weeks now so hopefully a few more and I'll be good as new. I went to the doctor last Monday and he pushed back my due date a week based on my ultrasound. So October 26th instead of the 20th is the big day now. It's never exact anyway so sometime the end of October we'll have a new addition to the fam. We're getting more excited now the end of my first trimester is coming up...my stomach's poking out...and we wait to find out if we buy blue or pink. Belly pics to come. I'm trying to do them on even numbers every 4 weeks...just letting my OCD come out. I'll post the 12 week shot soon!

We went for our ultrasound on Thursday and got to see the little peanut...tadpole and all. The baby's heartrate was in the 170's and we got to see it beating. It's SO cool to know a tiny living person is inside growing and moving and getting bigger to enter the world. It'll be really awesome when I can feel the baby move and of course know what it is. My curiosity is out of control. But for now...I'm enjoying one day at a time because I know it will go fast. Although it sure would be nice for these next 2 or 3 weeks to hurry along and carry the nausea with it.

It's been a month of great surprises. We got great news around Valentine's day that we're pregnant!! I can't tell you how excited and nervous I am all at the same time. I'm 9 weeks so that puts me due October 20th. Just in time for the holidays! It's still early so keep us in your prayers. I have my ultrasound tomorrow and we can't wait to see the little peanut even though he/she is only the size of a grape. I've been feeling nauseous a lot, but once I eat it goes away for a few hours. It will be nice when I'm feeling a little better. And smells are TERRIBLE! Pretty much everything that smells weird makes me gag and nauseous. I sure hope THAT goes away. Eeek! Plus...last week I had 7 days off from work with plans to clean house and organize drawers and cabinets, but exhaustion hit me and I laid on the couch for 7 days!! Can't wait to share more as the weeks pass along. Please pray the baby is healthy and God continues to grow and build this beautiful gift He gave us.

Homemade Crafts

For the past 2 weekends we've had some sort of craft to make. Two weekends ago, Casey's parents came over and we put them to work. Casey is teaching elementary during his student teaching this semester and next week he'll start high school. He has to have teacher examples of all the art they make, so Mr. Colson put us to work. My brother and his family were in town that weekend as well, so my nieces and nephew (ages 12, 13, &14) came over to help. We made individual trains to hook together. Unfortunately we didn't take a picture of the finished product.But apparently it was the hit of the school!

Hee..hee..I love Larry's face right here! He looks so proud of his 2nd grade train! We had to dry them faster so we could put buttons and do dads on them!! There were 8 trains total.

Then last weekend, Casey and I decided

to make Valentines for our family. It was so fun!! I love having an elementary school teacher in our midst. It brought me back to my childhood. We had so much fun painting and decorating our valentines and then attached some caramel Hershey's kisses on them. Hee..Hee! Who knows what we'll be doing next weekend!

Good News!

I have great news!!! My dad is finished with chemo/radiation and we got the results from his PET scan which shows if there's any cancer anywhere in the body. And.....he's cancer free!!! Praise the Lord! This has been a long journey these past 7 months and we are so thankful for God answering our prayers. He's lost 100 pounds since June, but the good thing is he's only needing his insulin at night now. He's been a diabetic for 10 years so this is great news!! He's finally getting a little bit of appetite and learning to eat small meals since his stomach is now his esophagus. He finally has some energy and is able to work. It's tax season and he owns his own business so we were worried he wouldn't be able to. But God has answered all our prayers. He'll get another scan in 6 months, so keep praying the cancer stays outta there. Thank you thank you thank you for all of your prayers. God definitely heard them!!

A Blaze..

So Thursday night about 10:00 P.M. I'm laying in bed watching TV when all of a sudden I hear sirens galore. Now...we live right off a busy highway and the sound of sirens is not uncommon. However, that night they sounded extra close. I look out my bedroom window to find the lights in my neighborhood. I immediately think...Oh gosh...one of my elderly next door neighbors has had a heart attack. Seeing how both men on either side of us look like their in their 70's your mind would have jumped to the same conclusion. I'm preparing myself to aid however I can. I look out the front door windows to find the sky lit up bright orange! The house 3 down from us is massively on fire!!! I yell to Casey and we go running outside. Every firetruck in Henry County is in our little cul-de-sac. I have never seen a fire like this...HUGE! and not slowing down. At first, I'm in shock. I was pretty sure a family still lived there even though I'm sad to say I had never talked to them nor knew if they had moved out or not. From the crowd and the slow speed of the firemen I assumed nobody was inside. The flames were enveloping the roof and blowing out of a top story window like nobody's business. They started hosing it down with what seemed to be pretty wimpy water. It dissipated some of the fire briefly, but soon the blaze was even more rapant. The flames on the side of the roof was so close to their neighbor's house I was so afraid it would catch fire. Thank the Lord it didn't. Nor did all the embers flying about all of our yards. It did melt the vinyl on one side of a neighbor's house. Once the firemen realized they weren't getting anywhere with the wimpy water they raised up on ladders and used powerful hoses that I'm sure if you were standing in their path would cut you in two! After probably 15-20 minutes the flames were gone and almost nothing was left of the roof and upstairs. It's amazing how fast a beautiful house can disappear before your eyes! Pretty much the whole neighborhood was standing in our yard or cul-de-sac to watch. We're such a nosy society when something out of the ordinary happens. Luckily nobody was hurt and come to find out a teenage girl, who's mom is a nurse who was working nights at the time, got a bad note from her teacher and decided to burn it. When the flames got out of control she decided to put the fire out with PERFUME! Not the best idea! The fire erupted into a huge blaze and her poor little brother who was taking shower had to run out of the house with just a towel. During the fire we didn't see them, so we thought no one was home. We found out the whole story the next day. It's very sad and the neighborhood is collecting money for them since they were renters and have no insurance. Just wanted to share the exciting things happening in McDonough.

Seriously...water is a great thing! It tastes good....It's refreshing to swim in....It helps you feel clean...It's a hydrating necessity...Actually we couldn't live without it. The majority of our bodies are made of water. It makes so many beautiful flowers and plants grow. It provides ice cubes that Chloe LOVES to chase around on the floor. What could be better???

Probably....not freezing in the pipes when it's 12 degrees outside!!!! Yep...we had ANOTHER...actually THE SAME pipe bust today! Can you believe it? Almost a year to date we were dealing with a flooded house on our brand new 2 week old hardwood floors. Yesterday morning I came home from work in 12 degree weather...brushed my teeth....turned my electric heater on...put my warmest pjs on and went to sleep. I woke up about 1:30 in the afternoon and went to get a drink of water in the kitchen. I grab a glass....turn the faucet on and Alas...nothing...nada. I freak!!! I go to the washer right next door...Nothing...nada! Ok...I tell myself..stay calm...there's no water like last time. It's all frozen in the pipe. It's still way below freezing outside so you can catch it and turn the water off before it floods. Casey was student teaching and wouldn't be home for a few hours so what did I do. If the hubby's not home to answer questions....go to the next best thing. The internet! I didn't know how to turn the water off, but some helpful websites said to thaw the pipes out with a hairdryer or heater and it would take hours. Now I don't know about you, but I don't have the arm strength or stamina or TIME to hold a hairdryer for hours! I placed the electric heater close to the opened cabinets underneath the sink and waited. I was praying the pipe wasn't busted and the water would flow like the Nantahala. When Casey came home he merely went to the garage and twisted a knob. Ummmppph. Easy! We just waited all night...but of course the weather got even colder as the night went on, so we decided to try again tomorrow. Today...the water thawed and the pipe was leaking. At least the water was turned off and we were able to drain the water outward using a baking pan. Those things have more than one use in my book now! For some reason there was still some water trickling out of the pipe enough to soak a towel within an hour or so. Now last year due to the flooding and uneducation we hired a plumber (who we thought the insurance paid for....*note* They Don't!!!) So $900 later (plumber and $500 deductable) we had a tiny new pipe and an entire kitchen of brand new hardwood to replace. *Sigh* This year...My smart husband and $17 later fixed our pipe and will have water at last praying the glue dries and no more incidences occur. Thank God for smart and competent husbands! It's amazing how much we depend on something so basic and in abundance...well for the most part. I went to make mac and cheese last night and forgot...No water! I flushed the toilet by habit and forgot...No water!! I am so thankful to have a roof over my head....heat in my house....food in my fridge....and water in my faucets...frozen or free flowing. I was reminded to stop and be thankful for the simple things in life!

Our Christmas

We had a great Christmas filled with lots of family time...lots of food...and lots of fun! My birthday was the 22nd and I got to celebrate it with my whole fam. My brother, Jon and his wife have 3 kids and they came from Athens for the WHOLE week of Christmas. It was SO much fun. It was like being a kid again. Casey and I...my sister, Ginger, my nephew Zack and my new niece Murphy, Jon, Amy, my niece Abigail, my nephew Jacob, and my niece Ashlie all stayed at Mom and Dad's the whole week. Plus we had 5 dogs among us!! Another blessing was that I was scheduled to work Christmas day but I was able to get off due to low census. Yay!! I haven't had Christmas Eve and Christmas day off in 7 years!! It was awesome. We spent the week playing games...Risk...Apples to Apples...Balderdash...and a little Mafia thrown in. If somebody out there's never played Mafia...it a must!! Casey surprised me with an awesome camera for my birthday and Christmas. A Nikon D40!! Now I can take pictures like they were made to be taken. I created a video montage that has a ton of pics but we were there for a week! Some of my family are more welcoming to the camera than others. Murphy was all about the camera! Man...that baby was ALWAYS wanting her picture taken. Hee...Hee! My sister and I took her to see Santa at Lenox the day before Christmas Eve and she slept through the whole thing! The boys in the house had fun playing Wii golf or pretty much Wii anything! Jon and Jacob got fun boxers for Christmas and wanted to show them off! The kids also got Rock Band which now totally makes me want to learn drums. We had a ton of presents to wrap on Christmas Eve and Casey had the job of all Jacob's presents. They were sitting on the kitchen table all awaiting their wrapping debut. Casey and I were having a wrapping competition based solely on speed! He was wrapping everything on the table just like he was told. Come Christmas morning my 13 year old nephew opened a half-eaten box of his sister's wheat free cookies!! Merry Christmas Jacob! Hence the picture to come! Hee...Hee!

We also went to the Colson's abode over New Years and just got back last night. It was great to spend time with everyone and had fun playing LOTS of crochet. Casey's dad and I teamed up with Eric and Casey and they beat us 4 times!!! Grrrr! We'll get our revenge one day! Now we've come home and the holidays....my favorite time of year...is over. Back to work, school, chores, and everyday life. What a great year to be thankful. We have a new member of the family who is so stinkin sweet! Casey and I are about to celebrate 5 years of marriage and his graduation soon!! My dad is almost done with chemo/radiation. Praise the Lord! He's having a pretty rough time this week. Prayers for strength, energy, normal labwork, and no infections would be great! Hope you enjoy the pictures!! There's a lot of them, but I enjoyed working hard to share them with you!! Brooke's Wedding

I know....I behind on pics as usual. This always seems to take me a really long time and I don't know why. Maybe it's the slow computer putting out more pop-ups than I can count. Maybe it's the abundance of pictures to sift through and download. Whatever the case may be...they're here now. The Saturday before Christmas was Brooke's wedding. Well...my new niece finally made it! We've been waiting on her for a while! She was born on Tuesday the 16th and weighed 8lbs 5oz. She's absolutely the cutest thing ever! Well...it's here. My favorite time of year. We got our tree about 2 weeks ago, but I'm just now getting around to putting up pictures. It's so pretty! I decided I wanted white lights this year instead of multi-colored. And I'm decorating my first live wreath. More pics to come!! I thought it would be fun to post what our favorite things about this time of year are.

1. Starbuck's holiday drinks (especially Peppermint Mocha)
2. That great Christmas tree smell
3. Egg nog! Mmmm!
4. Cuddling with Casey having only the tree lights on and a fire
5. The hope of snow on Christmas! *sigh* Too bad we don't live in the northern states
6. Christmas songs and Christmas shopping
7. And of course...the whole reason we celebrate Christmas in the first place. To be reminded that Jesus came to earth born as a special small little baby with such a big responsibility. To think about him growing into a boy then into a man so perfect. To sacrifice himself for us when we are so unworthy, so we could have salvation...his grace is truly amazing.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. The past 4 years we've gone to my in-laws for the holiday and then they come over here for Christmas. It works out great for all except THIS year my weekend to work and my Thanksgiving to work fell at the same time. The good news is I got to stay home and spend it with my side of the family AND I actually got off work Thanksgiving night, so I was able to stay all day. I was so stuffed with turkey and dressing and casseroles I thought I would never eat again...but alas...then came dessert! We actually had a whole week of Thanksgiving. Kai and Lisa came down on Sunday to celebrate and we cooked a big Thanksgiving meal then ate the leftovers for 2 days. Mmmmm! The boys were sweet enough to take us to see Twilight. Yay! It was so good....I mean for a teeny bopper movie...it was good. If anyone out there hasn't read them...I highly recommend them. Yes...it's about vampire love but it's written for preteens so it's wholesome and I haven't met one person who could put the book down once they started. Overall, it was a great holiday. We have so many things to be thankful for. God has blessed us with love, family, friends, jobs, warm shelter over our heads, and food for our bellies. My dad's chemo/radiation are going well...even though he has bad days and is tired a lot he's done really well the past 3 weeks. Radiation apparently agrees with him. I'm so thankful God hears and answers our prayers. What a wonderful thing. I'm so thankful God sacrificed his Son for us to have salvation. Thank God for his grace. Where would we be without it? What are ya'll thankful for this year???

We've gave my sister a baby shower last weekend. She got lots of fun stuff...I don't think she'll have to buy anything. She's having a little girl, Murphy. I wanted to do something special for he so I made her a baby quilt. It was my first one ever. Quilting is definitely my new hobby. It was so much fun. Check out the pics.

My favorite quilt animal. Casey drew this one for me. Then I traced, cut, and appliqued the pieces down. Then I embroidered the edges on the machine and hand embroidered the eyes and mouth. Isn't he cute??

A lot of my pictures were blurry, so this the only good one of her opening the quilt. There were tears involved when she realized I made it. It was very sweet.

And on another note...one of my best friends from high school got married on Saturday. I was a bridesmaid, but was not very good at taking pictures. I didn't even get one of us together! Her name's Jennifer. She looked absolutely beautiful! Congrats Mrs. Dooley!
